La dosis inicial depende de una estimación de la cantidad de envenenamiento como se menciona a continuación:

En niños y adultos pequeños (peso corporal inferior a 40 kg), se recomienda administrar hasta un 50 % más de dosis de Snake Venom Antisuero.
ADMINISTRACIÓN:
El antisuero de veneno de serpiente se administra por vía intravenosa sin diluir a una velocidad de no más de 1 ml por minuto o se diluye en 500 ml de líquido intravenoso (ya sea una inyección de cloruro de sodio o una inyección de dextrosa al 5%) y se administra tan rápido como se tolere durante 1 a 2 horas. Mientras diluye el antisuero Snake Venom, mezcle agitando suavemente en lugar de agitar para evitar que se forme espuma.
Se deben repetir infusiones adicionales cada hora hasta que cese la hinchazón progresiva en la parte mordida y desaparezcan los signos y síntomas sistémicos. Cuando se logra una dosis adecuada, a menudo se observa una mejoría en los signos clínicos del paciente.
