**Berhati-hatilah saat merawat orang yang alergi terhadap bahan apa pun dalam produk. Dosis awal tergantung pada perkiraan jumlah racun seperti yang disebutkan di bawah ini:
1. Racun Minimal - Pembengkakan lokal yang progresif namun tidak menimbulkan gejala sistemik. 5 botol (50ml) dianjurkan untuk diberikan.
2. Envenomasi Sedang - Terdapat pembengkakan di luar lokasi gigitan, gejala sistemik ringan, dan/atau kelainan hematologi dan koagulasi. 5 hingga 10 botol (50 hingga 100ml) dianjurkan untuk diberikan.
3. Envenomasi Parah -Efek lokal yang progresif dan luas, gejala sistemik dan bukti hemolisis atau koagulopati. 10 hingga 20 botol (100 -200ml) atau lebih dianjurkan untuk diberikan.
Pada anak-anak dan orang dewasa kecil (berat badan kurang dari 40kg) direkomendasikan untuk diberikan hingga 50% lebih banyak dosis Antiserum Racun Ular.
ADMINISTRASI:
Antiserum Racun Ular diberikan secara intravena baik dalam bentuk murni dengan kecepatan tidak lebih dari 1ml per menit atau diencerkan dalam 500ml cairan intravena (Injeksi Natrium Klorida atau Injeksi Dekstrosa 5%) dan diberikan secepat yang dapat ditoleransi selama 1-2 jam. Saat mengencerkan Antiserum Racun Ular, aduk dengan cara diaduk perlahan, jangan dikocok agar tidak berbusa.
Infus tambahan harus diulangi setiap jam sampai pembengkakan progresif pada bagian yang digigit berhenti dan tanda serta gejala sistemik hilang. Ketika dosis yang memadai tercapai, perbaikan gejala klinis pasien sering terlihat.
FDA belum mengklasifikasikan obat ini ke dalam kategori kehamilan tertentu. Meskipun tidak ada cukup bukti bahwa meminum obat ini selama Anda hamil berbahaya.
