Precautions and warnings

Patients suffering from sunburn and eczema. Lactation and pregnancy. Excessive sun or UV irradiation should be avoided. Avoid getting it in your eyes, lips, nostrils, or mucous membranes. Do not use it on wounds, abrasions, rough or dry skin, or burnt spots. With remedies containing sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid, proceed with caution.

Drug Interactions

Medicated or abrasive soaps, those with a strong drying effect, and those containing alcohol or astringents may cause irritation.

Mode of actions

Adapalene interacts with particular retinoic acid nuclear receptors, normalizing follicular epithelial cell development and reducing the production of microcomedones.

Dosage & Administration

Adult: Topical As 0.3% soln/cream/gel: Apply once daily at night.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Although animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, but during pregnancy, this medicine can be used just when definitely required despite potential risks.

Mothers with a newborn baby who have used this drug during the last 3 months of pregnancy may seldom create symptoms including drowsiness, muscle stiffness or shakiness, feeding or breathing troubles, constant crying. If you notice any of these symptoms of your baby's particularly during their first month, tell the doctor immediately.

This medicine passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding.
