Drug Interactions
Beberapa obat dapat meningkatkan jumlah obat dalam darah Anda dengan mempengaruhi enzim hati. Contohnya termasuk azitromisin, simetidin, eritromisin, fluoxetine, dan ketoconazole.
Menggunakan obat ini dengan obat tertentu lainnya dapat meningkatkan risiko efek samping:
- Risiko tekanan darah tinggi dan detak jantung tidak teratur lebih tinggi jika dikonsumsi bersama obat jantung (seperti glikosida jantung, quinidine, atau antidepresan trisiklik).
- Ada kemungkinan lebih tinggi terjadinya penyempitan pembuluh darah yang kuat jika digunakan dengan alkaloid ergot atau oksitosin.
- Mengonsumsi obat ini dengan penghambat MAO (MAOI) dapat menyebabkan peningkatan tekanan darah yang berbahaya (krisis hipertensi).
- Menggunakannya dengan anestesi tertentu (seperti siklopropana, halotan, dan anestesi berhalogen lainnya) atau obat tekanan darah (antihipertensi) dapat menyebabkan interaksi.
Mode of actions
Desloratadine merupakan obat alergi jangka panjang yang tidak menyebabkan kantuk. Ia bekerja dengan memblokir reseptor histamin H1 di luar otak dan menghentikan sel kekebalan tertentu melepaskan zat yang menyebabkan peradangan.
Pseudoefedrin bekerja dengan mengaktifkan reseptor alfa dan beta-adrenergik. Hal ini menyebabkan pembuluh darah di hidung menyempit, sehingga mengurangi kemacetan. Ini juga melemaskan saluran udara dan dapat meningkatkan detak jantung serta kekuatan detak jantung.
Dosage & Administration
PO: Dewasa dan remaja 12 tahun ke atas : 1 tablet (2,5 mg desloratadine/120 mg pseudoephedrine) setiap 12 jam.
1 tablet (5 mg desloratadine/240 mg pseudoefedrin) setiap 24 jam.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Meskipun penelitian pada reproduksi hewan menunjukkan efek buruk pada janin dan belum ada penelitian yang memadai dan terkontrol dengan baik pada wanita hamil, namun selama kehamilan, obat ini dapat digunakan tepat ketika benar-benar diperlukan meskipun ada potensi risikonya.
Ibu dengan bayi baru lahir yang telah menggunakan obat ini selama 3 bulan terakhir kehamilan mungkin jarang mengalami gejala termasuk mengantuk, otot kaku atau gemetar, kesulitan makan atau bernapas, dan menangis terus-menerus. Jika Anda melihat gejala-gejala ini pada bayi Anda terutama pada bulan pertama, segera beri tahu dokter.
Obat ini masuk ke dalam ASI. Bicaralah dengan dokter Anda sebelum menyusui.
