Precautions and warnings
Leber- und Nierenprobleme, Atembeschwerden oder Myasthenia gravis können sich verschlimmern. Dieses Arzneimittel kann das sichere Fahren oder Bedienen von Maschinen erschweren. Seien Sie besonders vorsichtig, wenn Sie älter sind oder sich in einem schlechten Gesundheitszustand befinden.

- Verwirrtheit; verschwommenes Sehen; Brechreiz; Schwäche; Unruhe. Potenziell tödlich: Atemdepression.
Drug Interactions
Medikamente, die das Zentralnervensystem beeinflussen (wie Barbiturate, Phenothiazine, Antidepressiva und MAO-Hemmer), können bei gemeinsamer Einnahme die Wirkung auf das Gehirn verstärken. Scopolamin kann Sie schläfriger machen und auch Halluzinationen oder ungewöhnliches Verhalten hervorrufen. Koffein, Theophyllin oder Aminophyllin können die Wirksamkeit sedierender und angstlösender Medikamente beeinträchtigen. Die Einnahme von Scopolamin zusammen mit Natriumvalproat oder Probenecid kann die Menge des Arzneimittels in Ihrem Blut erhöhen.
Contraindications
Schwerwiegende Leberprobleme, Atembeschwerden, akutes Engwinkelglaukom und Schwangerschaft oder Stillzeit.
Mode of actions
Lorazepam ist ein schnell wirkendes Medikament aus der Familie der Benzodiazepine. Es funktioniert durch die Bindung an bestimmte Rezeptoren auf Nervenzellen im Gehirn, insbesondere in Bereichen wie dem limbischen System und der Formatio reticularis. Diese Wirkung erhöht den Fluss von Chloridionen in die Zellen, was die beruhigende Wirkung einer Gehirnchemikalie namens GABA verstärkt. Dadurch werden die Nervenzellen stabiler und neigen weniger dazu, überaktiv zu werden.
Dosage & Administration
Erwachsener: PO Angst 1-6 mg/Tag in 2 oder 3 aufgeteilten Dosen, bis zu 10 mg/Tag.
Schlaflosigkeit verbunden mit Angstzuständen 1–4 mg/Tag vor dem Schlafengehen.
Prophylaxe von Übelkeit und Erbrechen im Zusammenhang mit einer zytotoxischen Therapie. Bei mäßig emetogener Chemotherapie: Kann 1–2 mg zur antiemetischen Therapie hinzufügen.
Vor der Operation 2-3 mg am Abend vor der Operation, dann bei Bedarf eine kleinere Dosis morgens.
Für ältere oder geschwächte Patienten wird eine Anfangsdosis von 1 bis 2 mg/Tag in mehreren Dosen empfohlen, die je nach Bedarf und Verträglichkeit angepasst werden kann.
IV Status epilepticus 4 mg, bei Bedarf einmal nach 10–15 Minuten wiederholen.
Sedierung in der Intensivpflege 0,02–0,06 mg/kg 2–6 Stunden als Injektion oder 0,01–0,1 mg/kg/Stunde als kontinuierliche Infusion.
IV/IM Akute Angstzustände 25–30 µg/kg 6 Stunden bei Bedarf.
Prämedikation bei einer Operation: 50 µg/kg, 30–45 Minuten vor der Operation bei intravenöser Injektion oder 1–1,5 Stunden vor der Operation bei intramuskulärer Injektion.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Dieses Arzneimittel ist während der Schwangerschaft nicht erlaubt. Verwenden Sie es nicht, wenn Sie schwanger sind. Es kann über die Haut und die Lunge aufgenommen werden und die Organe Ihres ungeborenen Kindes schädigen und angeborene Behinderungen verursachen. Strenge wirksame Empfängnisverhütung während der Behandlung und für sechs Monate nach Absetzen dieses Arzneimittels. Wenn Sie schwanger werden, beenden Sie die Einnahme dieses Arzneimittels und sprechen Sie sofort mit Ihrem Arzt.
Es liegen keine spezifischen Informationen darüber vor, ob dieses Arzneimittel in die Muttermilch übergeht oder nicht. Angesichts der möglichen Risiken für die Kinder wird das Stillen während der Anwendung dieses Arzneimittels und mindestens zwei Wochen nach der letzten Dosis nicht empfohlen. Konsultieren Sie vor dem Stillen Ihren Arzt.
