Precautions and warnings
لا يستخدم في الأشخاص الذين يعانون من احتباس البول، أو تضخم البروستاتا (تضخم البروستاتا)، أو الإمساك طويل الأمد، أو زرق انسداد الزاوية غير المعالج. استخدم بحذر عند الأشخاص الذين يعانون من فرط نشاط الغدة الدرقية (فرط نشاط الغدة الدرقية) أو خطر الانتحار. قد يسبب الدواء أعراض الهوس أو الذهان في بعض الحالات. ويجب إيقافه تدريجيًا وليس فجأة. يمكن أن يجعلها غير آمنة للقيادة أو تشغيل الآلات. توخي الحذر أثناء الحمل والرضاعة الطبيعية، وفي المرضى المسنين.

Drug Interactions
يمكن أن تجعلك مثبطات MAOI تشعر بمزيد من النعاس إذا كنت تشرب الكحول. يمكنهم أيضًا جعل الأدوية المضادة لمرض السكر تعمل بقوة أكبر. يمكن أن يؤدي تناول بروبرانولول أو ريسبيريدون إلى رفع مستويات المابروتيلين في الجسم، مما قد يزيد من خطر الآثار الجانبية. استخدام الفينوثيازين مع هذه الأدوية يمكن أن يزيد من احتمالية حدوث النوبات.
Contraindications

Mode of actions
مابروتيلين هو نوع من مضادات الاكتئاب يرتبط ارتباطًا وثيقًا بمضادات الاكتئاب ثلاثية الحلقات. وهو يعمل بشكل رئيسي عن طريق منع إعادة امتصاص النورادرينالين (مادة كيميائية في الدماغ)، مما يسمح للمزيد منه بالبقاء نشطًا في الدماغ، مما يساعد على تحسين الحالة المزاجية.
Dosage & Administration
عن طريق الفم
الاكتئاب
للبالغين: على شكل هيدروكلوريد: 25-75 مجم يومياً مقسمة على 3 جرعات، يتم زيادتها تدريجياً بزيادات 25 مجم على فترات 1-2 أسبوع إلى 150 مجم/يوم إذا لزم الأمر. ما يصل إلى 225 ملغ / يوم في مرضى الاكتئاب الشديد.
كبار السن: الجرعة الأولية: 25 ملغ يومياً. قد تزداد ببطء حسب الاستجابة إلى 50-75 مجم يومياً إذا لزم الأمر.
Pregnancy & Lactation
على الرغم من أن دراسات التكاثر الحيواني أظهرت تأثيرًا سلبيًا حتى في بعض الأحيان غير قادرة على إثبات المخاطر على الجنين ولا توجد دراسات كافية ومراقبة بشكل جيد عند النساء الحوامل، ولكن أثناء الحمل، يمكن استخدام هذا الدواء فقط عند الحاجة إليه بالتأكيد.
